How Refill works

1. Write your coworkers. Give each one a name, a job title, something they'd actually say, and the traits that make them who they are (Big Five, plus MBTI if you like). Then decide what they are to you: mentor, rival, enemy, crush, confidant or boss.
2. Text them. Everyone shares one group chat, so they answer you and each other. Pull someone aside for a one-on-one when it shouldn't be said in front of the team.
3. They remember. Your coworkers keep notes on what you tell them. What you say in a one-on-one stays between the two of you; the group chat never sees it.
4. The story moves overnight. While you're away, a storyline moves forward: a deadline jumps, someone presents your work as theirs, a reorg rumor starts. Around 9 a.m. your time, the office checks in by email or push notification. You can switch the channel or turn it off in Settings.

Some people play Refill for the office drama. Others use it as a low-stakes place to rehearse a real conversation: asking for a raise, pushing back on a deadline, telling a coworker they took credit for your work. Write the coworker the way they really are, say the thing, and see how it lands.

The replies come from an AI playing a character you wrote, not from the real person, so treat them as practice, not a prediction.

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it, there's one trial per person, and you won't be charged if you cancel before it ends.

Group and one-on-one messages count together, and the daily count resets at midnight your time. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax or GST is added where it applies. You can change or cancel your plan anytime in Settings.

• The coworkers are AI. An AI model writes every message from the traits you gave, and each one carries an AI tag. They aren't real people, even when they're based on someone you know, and they can get things wrong.
• 18+ only. Refill is for adults. AI companions may not be suitable for some minors.
• It's a game, not therapy or advice. Characters don't give medical, mental-health or legal advice. If you mention suicide or self-harm, Refill shows you crisis lines. If you need help now, see Safety.
• Keep real details light. You can base coworkers on people you know. Keep it to what the game needs, like a first name, a habit or a way of talking. Don't enter anyone's contact details, health information or other sensitive details, or anything confidential from your actual job.
• Your chats stay yours. We don't sell your data or show ads, and neither we nor our AI provider use your chats to train AI models. You can export your data or delete your account in Settings. See the Privacy Policy.
• Where it's offered. Refill is available in the United States, Canada (outside Quebec) and Australia.
